A Warrior Saga
After a long day's journey by foot on the Edo Road you post up at a roadside Sakaya, legs aching. But the night still young, the land wild and filled with bad guys; your teacher looking at you, chewing his salted fish. Adjusting the empty scabbard at his hip and cursing his luck. What happens next? This is the world we set out to create in Hitomi; a story about two outsiders who forge an unusual bond in a turbulent and beautiful world.

Here is another issue of torture and torment, this one is quite a bit more grim than the last issue. The art on the first story is a throwback to some of the art in the early 1900's. It has a grainy, painted feel to it. I really like it for this story because it sets the tone of the story very well. Read the article here.
